Shanghai MHI Engine Co., Ltd.(SME) is a joint venture by Shanghai Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engine &Turbocharger Ltd.(MHIET).
SME mainly produces S6R2/S12R/S16R series engines, which are licensed by MHIET technology. These products are mainly used for land gen-sets, with a power range from 500KW to 2000KW.
S6R2/S12R/S16R series of engines are produced by SME. The technical standards, manufacturing level and quality control have always been consistent with MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES. Benefited from the integration of fuel system and engine development by MHI, SME can achieve the best performance,ever-reliable high power,high stability and low emission.
